YOO humans!! How are you?? I’m recapping my first week here at yoga teacher training so let’s get started. 🙂
I got in around 3:30. Unpacked my stuff and settled a bit. Ate dinner then headed to the night session! Met some new people and went to bed early that night. We gotta have our lights out by 10!
Alarm goes off at 5:15 am. I die a little on the inside. I head to our morning practice, then breakfast after. The food here is so good. Like my type of amazing. LOVE IT.
Another session from 9:00-11:45. We covered all the practicalities of the program here.
Break from 11:45-1:50. Grabbed some lunch in here too, squeezed in a lift at the gym, and headed to afternoon session from 2:00-6:00. We had a break in here which was nice. 🙂
Dinner after that session. Tried to socialize and meet more people in my program! After dinner I took a sauna and whirlpool. Gah I love saunas so much guys. Like can I just have one in my house?? K thx. 😛
Lights out by 10!! I usually don’t go to bed this early so it’s been WEIRD. But I’m adjusting.
Morning practice, breakfast, drink all the coffee after I do some of the things and before I have to do more of the things.
Another session, another break. Some cardio work before lunch, eat lunch. Complain to my mom that I’m constipated. (WAH.)
Another session!! Afternoon one. They have booches in the cafe so I snagged one during my break.
Do some blogging work after the last session. Catch up with friends and family. Try to relax a little bit.
Wake up is getting a little bit easier. But hey, still tough ya know? Morning sadhana is beautiful. I feel at ease in this practice.
Morning session was a posture clinic. We pair up with a partner during these and work on teaching that partner the posture. We’re thrown a lot of information through lectures and then we work on it through practice and our own studying time. It’s been a challenge but a very good one. I went into this thinking it would be all lovely and relaxing but guys: this ain’t easy! There’s a lot of emotions that come up. But I’m riding that wave and embracing it all!

THE DAY BEFORE MY PRACTICE TEACH. And I can get up later!! 5:50 am later but still. The extra sleep always helps. 🙂
I practiced for my first 30 minute teach with my partner. Had a really nice talk at night with a girl in my program and felt pretty good. Wednesday was emotional for me but Thursday I was feeling at peace.
My practice teach went well and I was happy with myself! I had a lot of fun too. 🙂
We had a lecture on yoga philosophy in the morning and one on anatomy in the afternoon. The first lecture brought up some emotions and tears for a lot of people but man, was it powerful.
I got to lie outside in the sun and just enjoy the weather and the green around me. It was just what I needed.
I got kind of homesick at night. But after taking a sauna, watching the Bachelorette, and eating some chocolate I felt good.
MOMMMMYYY MY BFF AND I HAD A LONG LONG PHONE CALL. It was amazing. Gosh I love this lady. I went on a beautiful walk while talking to her and just hearing her voice made me smile.
I got to chat with my best friend Maria too, read some blogs, workout, talk with a friend at the cafe, and get Reiki done at night (which was super cool!!)
