My go to lunch as of late has been turning dinner leftovers into big lunch salads. I made these black bean burgers on sunday and we had them for dinner, and I’ve been eating them for lunch all week too!

    • Reply Alyssa June 16, 2016 at 2:32 pm

Love black bean burgers! Have never had them homemade- I will have to try that sometime!

Your dinner meal looks awesome! You know, I’m not sure if i’ve ever seen roasted chickpeas on the menu at a restaurant…strange since they’re so good!

    • Reply Alyssa June 16, 2016 at 2:31 pm

I was so glad they had them!! They made the perfect side with that meal πŸ™‚

My favorite fro-yo topping is DEFINITELY cookie dough! The place right next to my apartment gives huge big chunks that take up a good part of the bowl and it is delicious πŸ™‚ Also love that i am her tribe quote! I think I like everything they post on insta haha

    • Reply Alyssa June 16, 2016 at 2:31 pm

  • Reply Megan June 15, 2016 at 11:41 pm

Yum I love froyo. We have this amazing place back home that does really fancy ones with real fruit in them. The toppings I love the most is honey, berries and crushed biscuits.

    • Reply Alyssa June 16, 2016 at 2:31 pm

That sounds so good. I love berries on fro yo! Crushed biscuits sounds great too.

  • Reply Heather @ Polyglot Jot June 15, 2016 at 11:54 pm

yummy!!! My favorite fro yo topping is probably the peanut butter chips and chocolate sauce! So good! For lunches I’ve been loving sauteed chicken sausage with peppers and onions over a bed of spinach!

    • Reply Alyssa June 16, 2016 at 2:30 pm

Peanut butter chips are so good. That sounds like such a delicious lunch! Haven’t had chicken sausage in a while!

  • Reply Ellie June 16, 2016 at 12:16 am

Does cookie dough taste good with kiwi? Such an interesting combo, I’d have never thought to put them together. My favorite topping for ice cream is peanut butter and sprinkles! I recently started enjoying marshmallows in my ice cream as well and that is super weird for me.
My go-to lunches are soup topped with hummus (yes, really), potatoes with ketchup and rice with soy sauce. Salt is delicious!

    • Reply Alyssa June 16, 2016 at 2:30 pm

Cookie dough tastes good with anything in my opinion lol. πŸ™‚ I love putting ketchup on potatoes! The soup topped with hummus sounds like a unique combo!

Yummy! My favorite toppings for froyo are brownie bites, strawberries, and hot fudge! Now you have me craving smoothies, but summer usually has me craving them anyway. Lately, I’ve been all about lentils. I made some lentil falafel (10/10 would recommend) and made a great lentil salad (that took literally 5 minutes to make) for my lunch today!

    • Reply Alyssa June 16, 2016 at 2:29 pm

I love brownie bites on fro yo! Oooh those falafels sound so good. I love having them over salad or in a wrap!!

  • Reply Kaila June 16, 2016 at 1:34 am

That dinner looks AH-MAZING!!! What restaurant were you at that they served roasted chickpeas!? TOO COOL. And interesting fro-yo combo! I would never have thought of pairing pineapple and mint!

    • Reply Alyssa June 16, 2016 at 2:29 pm

I was at a local restaurant!! I was so happy to see they had a side of them πŸ™‚

  • Reply Kristy from Southern In Law June 16, 2016 at 2:44 am

So I saw your dinner on instagram the other night and Jesse was scrolling through instagram with me and we both took one look at it and said “ooh, roasted chickpeas sound good”. Half an hour later and roasted chickpeas we were eating πŸ˜‰

So thank you, for the delicious foodie inspiration!

    • Reply Alyssa June 16, 2016 at 2:28 pm

Heheh aww that makes me smile! Aren’t roasted chickpeas the best?! I love ’em!!

I had PB&J yesterday for the first time in a while and mannnnn it hit the spot for me too! It’d been far too long. My go-to lunch recently has been a wrap with scrambled eggs, sautΓ©ed spinach, feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, cream cheese and garlic. πŸ™‚ Plus green grapes on the side!

    • Reply Alyssa June 16, 2016 at 2:28 pm

That lunch sounds so good. I love feta cheese and cream cheese! Lately I’ve been loving goat cheese too πŸ™‚

  • Reply kat June 16, 2016 at 12:36 pm

Oh my gosh – that pb&j is screaming to me! Is there anything better than a drippy, warm pb&j? I don’t think so! For froyo I typically add rainbow sprinkles because I’m a 27 yr old in a 12 yr old’s body πŸ˜‰

    • Reply Alyssa June 16, 2016 at 2:27 pm

There really is nothing better! Girl I love sprinkles too- they always make ice cream or fro yo look even prettier too!!

  • Reply Amanda @ Real Life Recovery Diary June 16, 2016 at 1:01 pm

Look at me slacking on reading your blog! Guess I know what I’ll be doing after work today πŸ˜‰

My favorite fro yo toppings are definitely the cookie dough bites, rainbow sprinkles, and strawberries! Love mixing in M&Ms too if I’m in a chocolatey mood.

And a lunch I’m loving right now is egg and cheese on a bagel (obviously! you know me haha) with fruit and Goldfish on the side!

    • Reply Alyssa June 16, 2016 at 2:26 pm

All of those toppings sound PERF! Heheh we both love our bagels πŸ™‚ I need an egg sandwich though ASAP! Maybe this weekend I’ll have time to pick one up πŸ™‚ love ya!

Pineapple and mint together, huh? That is rather intriguing! My favorite flavor is taro, and I get little bits of most things, haha

    • Reply Alyssa June 17, 2016 at 2:51 am

I have never heard of a taro flavor! And that is the best way to do toppings hehe

Your day of eats looks amazing – especially the quinoa burger. Lunch lately has not been anything special, mostly just leftovers from the night before – boring but tasty.

    • Reply Alyssa June 17, 2016 at 2:55 am

I loved that quinoa burger. The goat cheese on it made it perfect, same with the warm toasty bun! Leftovers are never a bad thing, especially since it’s nice and quick to grab in the morning!

  • Reply Katie @ Peace Love & Oats June 22, 2016 at 12:59 am

Your froyo looks delicious! I think crumbled Reese’s peanut butter cups are one of my favorite toppings! There’s one place I go that has peanut M&Ms and I LOVE that – but I mostly just eat them on their own because they’re one of my favorite candies!

    • Reply Alyssa June 22, 2016 at 1:56 pm

I love M&M’s and reese’s on fro yo! So so good. I love the little reese’s pieces too πŸ™‚
