Hi guys and happy Wednesday! Half way through the week already! Going to be sharing some recent yummy eats today so let’s get started. :) Thank you Jen for the link up! And please remember: do not compare what you eat to what I eat and all that jazz because food comparison will bring you nothing but unhappiness. These posts are just to celebrate the fact we ALL eat!

Breakfast

Cereal is every college student’s best friend. Raisin brain is delish, especially with almond milk and paired with a cara cara orange. 🙂

My dad bought me peaches last week at the store and I was SO happy. Hadn’t had one in forever. Paired it with some sprouted grain Ezeikel bread, Wild Friends gingerbread pb, and banana.

Lunch

I like my salads with a lot of stuff on ’em. Those are the best kinda salads. (Base of spinach with scrambled eggs, feta cheese, sunflower seeds, peppers, cucumbers, broccoli, craisins, raspberry balsamic dressing)

Snacks

These Belvita biscutis have been my fav lately. And baby carrots because I’ll always love those.

Doesn’t really count as a snack but I have been loving getting a flavor shot of chocolate in my iced coffee. Because like… who doesn’t love chocolate???

Dinner

I am going home this weekend and I am definitely excited for some home-cooked meals and to go to some of my favorite restaurants. My school’s food isn’t bad per say but lemme tell ya, the dining hall can get old real fast and prepping food in your dorm room can be a pain in the butt sometimes. I miss my avocado-egg toast and smoothies and all that yummy stuff too hehe. And just missing my kitchen in general!

    I always crave home-cooked meals when I’m away, even though I have my own kitchen in my apartment. But there’s nothing like my Mom’s food! I hope you enjoy your weekend home <3

    As always, your food looks delicious! My favorite toppings for salads are tomatoes, onions, olives, and feta! As for fruit, I’m always lovin’ me some bananas. Hope you’re having a great week babe! 🙂 xo

    I remember my school’s food being fine, but the weekends were terrible. They cut back on what they served by a ton!
    I love sunflower seeds and blue or feta cheese on my salads!

      That’s how it is for my school too- they don’t serve lunch (just brunch) on the weekends and the hours are so much shorter! I lovee feta cheese and sunflower seeds on my salads too 🙂

    You definitely do a good job of eating healthy at school and in a dorm… much better than I did when I was in college. It definitely can be challenging. I always looked forward to the weekends when I would go home and get a nice home cooked meal or a nice meal out with my parents.

    My favorite fruit right now is pineapple… can’t get enough!

    Blueberries have been surprisingly good (and cheap!) recently. Probably because of this strangely warm Texas winter! A loaded salad is the best kind of salad. If it was a life or death situation and I’d have to pick a select few favorite toppings, they’d be beets, blue cheese and some sort of candied nuts!

    Hmm… Favorite toppings on salad would be any veggies (pretty much), parmesan cheese, eggs, etcetra… And home cooked food is the best!!! 🙂

    I decided yesterday that the best way to make salad is to replace the lettuce with avocado. That will be salads for now on =P Just kidding but it was great for that meal! I love putting banana peppers on salad. Gingered tofu is wonderful too. I cram a lot of things on my salads now that I’m thinking about it. That makes em great! One fruit I am enjoying lately is a morning apple. I get these HUGE apples from my job and eating one with my breakfast has been a wonderful treat. I almost bought a mango the other day but I wasn’t feeling it (yet). In the summer I can pound them though! Have a great day Lyss <3

      Avocado is the BEST! Gingered tofu sounds so good too. I’ve been loving apples as well! I haven’t had a mango in forever but now I’m craving one 😉 have a great day as well girl!

    I agree, salads are best with all the toppings! I like putting all sorts of colorful vegetables and sometimes fruits like grapes or berries on mine. I’ve been on a blueberry kick lately, I buy them frozen so they are a bit more affordable and last me longer!

      I miss blueberries! The fruit is so limited at my school. Salads really are the best with all the toppings 🙂

    I’m currently obsessed with grapes! I eat them almost everyday and can’t get enough. I’ve never heard of a cara cara orange before, but as a fellow orange lover I need to try one ASAP. Have a great day <3
