Top 3 Friday 8/5/16

Hi guys! Happy Friday- we made it!!  Linking up with Kate today for this post. Let’s get started!

Top 3 eats 

This lunch! -> snap peas with hummus, brussel sprouts, popcorner chips, and an Ezeikel tortilla with pesto + feta + pumpkin seeds + zucchini. SO GOOD! 

This nighttime snack -> vanilla coconut milk yogurt, raisins, chia seeds, and a chocolate zucchini muffin 

This lunch -> carrots, pineapple, and a whole wheat bagel with Nut Butter Nation brown sugar cinnamon peanut butter, jelly, and cinnamon sprinkled on top!

Top 3 Highs 

  1. Having the day off to myself Monday. Coming back from the retreat I was pretty tired, so not having any obligations Monday felt so so nice. 🙂
  2. Seeing friends Wednesday night. I saw my two best friends Wednesday and it was good to catch up!
  3. Not having to work Friday or Saturday this week- I really lucked out!!

Top 3 Lows 

  1. The fact that it’s already August. The thought of returning to school work is a bit daunting to me.
  2. More time- I feel like I always say this, but I just wish I had more time to take care of some loose ends and errands.
  3. I don’t have a third one!

Top 3 Instagrams 

Megan’s socks are always the cutest things everrr!

This company is so cute!! I want one of their shirts 🙂

Watermelon should have a whole week dedicated to itself… who agrees with me?!

Top 3 Favorite podcasts

I listen to a lot of podcasts, so I thought I’d switch up this top 3 with ya and share which ones I love!

  1. Nutrition matters -> this podcast by Paige is amazing. She is an RD who promotes body love and food freedom!
  2. Happiness Hour -> This podcast dives deep into disordered eating issues, body image, and self-esteem issues. It really works on making you the happiest you possible!
  3. Maddy Moon -> Maddy Moon is the first podcast I started listening to. I admire this girl and all that she stands for. She is a huge inspiration to me!

    Ohhhh best thing I ate…totally this new baked oatmeal I made! A high will be making it to the gym every day this week! Sometimes that gets tough!

    National Watermelon Day is good! I didn’t have any on that day though. :'( And I love that Happiness Hour podcast. I need to check out the other two. 🙂

    I’ve been loving Nutrition Matters podcast too!
    Your lunches make me crave at home lunches alone. I love all the component of your meals. Such a treat to the taste buds.

    Ah, nothing quite like a monday off is there!? I can understand the sadness of the upcoming school year. Although I work now, seeing the warm days and nice weather fade away is super depressing for me!

    Girl, your LUNCHES. Those combinations are ammmazing. Feta, pesto and pumpkin seeds? Brilliant. And what is this brown sugar cinnamon peanut butter magic that I must find? Geeeeez.
    I hear you on the low of it already being August. The thought of needing to be done all my school and prep work for the fall in the next few weeks is absolutely treacherous. Right when you want to be doing anything BUT work is right at the end of summer when you know you don’t have much time left. Ugh. Keep taking those days off!! And have a lovely weekend love.

    Omg that evening snack looks soooo good!! LOVE So Delicious brand! I hate that it’s August already too, like where did the time go?! Ughh, so much to do, so little time left. But I am soooo excited to see you tomorrow!! <3 The best thing I ate this week was swordfish from Antico Forno in the North End and a cannoli from Mike's. OMG. YES.

    Best thing I ate all week was probably some homemade, fresh out of the oven bread! I feel the not being quite ready and wishing for more time. I’m going back to school in a little over a week and I have so much that I still want to do before heading back. I figure that if it’s really important, I’ll get it done!     Okay I had no idea brown sugar cinnamon pb existed!! YUM 😀 I love podcasts so I will definitely have to check those out. I know you’re a Psychology major so you should check out the TED Radio Hour podcast if you haven’t already! Really interesting topics.     You know I love my podcasts so I’ll have to check the Nutrition Matters one out. The best thing I ate this week was cheesy black beans using a recipe from Oh She Glows. It was quite divine! I had Saturday off too. Isn’t having an actual weekend day off grand?
