April 29, 2016 in About Me

Hi guys and happy Friday! We made it. This week was long for many reasons- but Friday is finally here, thank God!

My beautiful blogging friend Kate inspired me with the idea of this post, so let’s get started!

Top 3 lows

  1.  Finals coming up… I can’t wait till they’re over!
  2. Being sick- an ear infection, slight fever, and cold… no fun at all. I hate being sick and missing class, but it will all be okay. Just deep breaths during this rocky time and lots of sleep!
  3. Colder weather… Last week was so nice and this week has been chillier. I want summer temps!

Top 3 highs

  1. Getting a job interview at GNC and getting a second interview this upcoming Saturday there! Super excited.
  2. Getting to see my parents and my dog. Even though I had to come home because of being sick, seeing my parents is always the biggest blessing- I love them so much!
  3. Church- I really connected with everything being said at Mass this week, and I am so thankful I was there in the presence of my amazing friends. <3

Blegh your cold/ear infection sounds AWFUL! And what a perfect time to get sick eh? Right when you need to use that brain of yours. I used to find I’d always get sick right AFTER finals when my body was finally like, “good you have time to get sick now.” I guess yours wasn’t so generous 🙁 :(.
In the good news department though – congrats on the job interviews! Its sounding pretty positive to me 🙂
Agreeing with Kate – I had to double take those eggs to believe they were real. And now you have me craving grapes baaaaaad.
Hope you start to feel better this weekend and you get some fun in!

    • Reply Alyssa May 1, 2016 at 11:16 pm

Beets are supposed to be really good post-run – but it’s hard to cook up a batch of beets on the go, so the beet juice seems like a great idea! My husband puts beets in his smoothies, but juice just sounds better. I’ll have to try it.

    • Reply Alyssa May 1, 2016 at 11:11 pm

I have actually never tried beets in a homemade smoothies- but I heard they are delish in them as well! I love beets on salads too, so good 🙂
