Top 3 Friday 11/4/16

November 4, 2016 in College / Yummy Eats

Hi guys and happy Friday! Linking up with  Kate for a top 3 Friday today so let’s get started!

Top 3 Highs

  1. I was featured on Paige’s podcast Nutrition Matter’s! I was so so so excited to work with Paige and get the chance to talk with her. She is an amazing lady and is doing so much good in the world of nutrition!
  2. I got to get lunch with my Best Buddy Tricia on Thursday. We went to Subway and she got a free sub because it was national sandwich day!
  3. I did well on my developmental psych exam. 🙂

Top 3 Lows

  1. Feeling lots of pressure- a lot of which I just put on myself, and cracking under all that pressure
  2. Being super emotional. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being emotional, but this week I was more so than usual and cried quite a bit.
  3. I won’t get to see my best friend from high school on her 20th bday which sucks! 🙁

Top 3 Eats

Carrots + Justin’s vanilla almond butter= the perfect snack!!

This Lenny and Larry’s cookie >> Hadn’t had this flavor in a while too and it was perfection.

Chicken caesar salads have been my fav since I was like 9. And I still love ’em.

Top 3 Reads

These sound ahmazzzinggggg!!

That’s AWESOME that you were featured on that podcast!!!! I need to go listen to it right nowwww. And so sorry about the emotional week. Man, do us girls get that. Can I get an Amen? That’s why they invented Lindor Truffles. For the bad days. Hehe. Also that’s my favorite Larry&Lenny cookie. Tooo good. Annnnd I was obsessed with that post by BLT. I was getting so annoyed by all the “clean eating” yadayadayada. And I felt like I was the only one! That was so great.

WOOT for being on a podcast!! I’ve just bookmarked it so I can listen this weekend – can’t wait to hear you! Also congrats on the exam.
Blegh sounds like a stressful week though – emotionally. I think its important to forgive ourselves and let ourselves feel whatever it is we need to feel, even if that involves what we think as “cracking” and being super emotional – but its also important to pull in extra support systems to get us through it all. Aka extra time planned with friends and family and doing/eating things we looooveeee. I hope you have a relaxing weekend planned for yourself to help refresh that soul of yours. Thank you for including my link <3 <3

aw thank you for listening Cora!!
That is such good advice- I definitely need some more time of just doing the things that I love and having time for self-care. It is so hard to fit all that in during the busy seasons of life!

Ooh wow, I’m really excited about your podcast interview Lyss! This is so so exciting. And I love that you are going home, and I hope it’s really relaxing after a long week. I totally have emotional weeks too; that’s how we women were made, and it’s so okay to be emotional. Tears are okay… <3 <3 And those Lenny and Larry's cookies were on sale at Sprouts; I almmosst got some, but I didn't.
