Small Moments of Happiness from My Week

February 17, 2017 in About Me / College

Hi guys and happppyyy Friday!! Busy week this week, and even busier week next week. But I’m embracing it with a positive attitude and open mindset! I think sometimes amid the business of our lives it’s important to appreciate those moments: both big and small, that make us happy. So here are a few from my week!

  • Getting to be part of the Disability Enlightenment conference at my school. This is a conference on disabilities ranging from autism, down syndrome, learning disabilities, etc. to mental health issues and breaking the stigma around all of these things. I am speaking with another girl about student advocacy and how I use this blog and my Instagram (@blissful_lyss29) to advocate for recovery from eating disorders and depression/anxiety! I am so blessed to be a part of this and it is truly making me SO happy. ๐Ÿ™‚
  • Seeing my best buddy Tricia! Best Buddies is a program where you help those with special needs. It was awesome seeing Tricia and spending time with her.ย 16711581_1329008613788433_7001921972264616075_n.jpg
  • Squatting 125 lbs!
  • Skyping my Thearpist
  • Eating this amazing cookie on Valentine’s Day!

  • Getting asked to teach yoga at a women’s retreat at my college… literally couldn’t stop smiling after I got this email!!
  • My gender studies class. Seriously LOVE this class so much.

  • Perfectly made iced coffee
  • Doing yoga
  • Spending time with friends

All those moments put the biggest smile on my face this week.

Congrats on being asked to teach yoga! What an honor. ๐Ÿ™‚ Also getting to speak at the disability conference. Sounds like a really cool opportunity for people who aren’t always understood and accepted to come together and learn more about one another.
(I loved my gender studies class in college. It was so so fascinating.)

Sounds like an awesome week and congrats on the teaching opportunity!! We have had some gorgeous weather the past few days and that has definitely been making me smile. I’ve been really stressed and it’s little things like the sunshine that remind me to be grateful and enjoy the little things.

Yay for so many moments of happiness!

Three reasons I smiled this week; laughing over silly little things with Jesse (I can’t remember a single day where he hasn’t made me laugh since we’ve been together), my best friend’s beautiful baby girl giggling for the first time at ME!!!! and my two puppies reunited last night. My sister had taken her dog to her apartment for a little while and Chanel was at home on her own – but when my parents went and picked up Trixie and brought her home they were SO happy to see each other and were bouncing across the house playing with eachother with their tails wagging and it was so cute, haha!

Wow that cookies looks so good. My three smile-inducing moments of this week: taking my dog for a walk in the forest, almost getting hit by a flying sausage at a party last night and getting caught in the rain trying to get to the supermarket.
