Link Love 1/17/16

January 17, 2016 in Link Love

Hi guys and happy Sunday! Going to be sharing my favorite reads from this week. Hope you all had a great weekend and were able to get in some relaxation time. I’m headed back to school today, eeeeep!! Ready for another semester though! Anyways, lets get started. 🙂

Peanut butter sweet tooth recipes

Emily made a whole post of all peanut butter recipes… amazing, right?! You guys know me and how much I love peanut butter, so this post with all recipes containing all peanut butter stuff kinda sorta made my day and I HAD to share it with ya.

No bake roasted almond granola bars

Margaret’s granola bar recipe looks super yummy and easy to make. I’ve never tried making homemade granola bars but these look so awesome!

Soft chewy kitchen sink cookies

No, these aren’t vegan/low-carb/non-fat/gluten free/soy free/taste free cookies, these are the good old fashioned cookies, and in my opinion the one’s with butter and real chocolate chips are the best kind. Liv’s cookie recipe looks delicious and I definitely want to make some soon!

Exercise should not be the only thing

Izzy’s post on this was great and really hit home. Exercise should not be the sole focus of your life; sure exercise is amazing and moving your body feels fantastic but making sure you hit the gym x times a week should not be the most important thing in your life! All about balance people.

Showing up for everyone else but yourself

Jillian is such an amazing friend of mine and she really does have a way with words and SO many important things to say. Loved this post about learning to put yourself first and NOT feeling selfish or guilty for doing so. Very, very important.

Health rant

Absolutely loved Sarah’s post on this. It gets so hard when we here people talking about their new diets. She really put my thoughts into a post and like she said, for someone with a past of an eating disorder, cutting out certain food groups may not in fact be the healthiest things. Making sure that you enjoy what you are eating is far more important in my book. Sure fruits and veggies are great, but have a slice of damn cake if you want it!

Going to therapy isn’t a weakness

Ayla’s post on this was so, so good. NEVER feel that you are weak for going to therapy. I still go to therapy and I absolutely love my therapist. Like Ayla said, therapy is for self-improvement and there is nothing to lose or be ashamed about.

Five books that helped me change my life

I’ve been wanting to get into reading more, especially empowering books like these. All these books Hayley shared look soooo good!

35 tips for healthy living and happiness

LOVED Carly’s post on this. She shared some great tips that I found so helpful and things I want to work on!

You carry a far greater purpose

“You are not accidental. The world needs you. Without you, something will be missing in existence and nobody can replace it.” Your purpose on this earth is to not be an A+ dieter and obsessive exerciser and only focused on whether you have a six-pack or not. You carry such a greater purpose to this world, you are capable of so much more than that.

Thinking out loud

“Focus on what you want your life to look like NOT just your body.” Life is FAR more important than our looks, than our size, than our outside appearance. Our body is just the cover.

That’s it for this week, but I hope you enjoy all these reads!

Have a great rest of your weekend guys. Sending you all my love,
