Life Lately in Pictures

August 7, 2017 in About Me

PICTURES. LIFE. All the good things. And Monday’s. Because Mondays= fresh start and fresh starts are a beautiful thing.

Yoga by the pool lately has been my thang.

So have been my mala beads, infused with the mantra “I open myself to you.”

“The mountains are calling and I must go.” And I did go… all the way to the top of Mount Washington!

I saw my favorite band in the entire universe (Nahko and Medicine for the People) with my best friends. It was pretty freakin’ awesome. And so were the other bands that performed!

I am crunchy granola. And I sure do eat a lot of it, especially @My Favorite Indulgence granola.

I listen to a lot of music… this song rocks. Follow my spotify @Alyssa Cristadoro!

I’ve been digging deeper into the principle of Ahimsa, or non-injury /nonviolence. Also, how cool is this Ahimsa tattoo?

Yoga-Tattoo-We-Heart-It 2.jpg

I’ve been focusing a lot on energy. And reading about similar topics in the book “Yoga and the Quest for the True Self.”

I love Bob Marley so I bought a tank with his face on it. And I love it. (important stuff I know I know)

I am continuing to write (and read) a bunch of poetry. Favorite books I’ve read: The Chaos of LongingShifting BoneThe Princess Saves Herself in this OneUncaged Wallflower. Definitely recommend these books!

Your turn!

Hiking… yay or nah?

City or nature person? Or both?

Favorite book lately?

Have a lovely Monday friends!! xoxo

I love how this blog has expanded and is less, but more about life! Pictures and Poetry!
I am reading the Untethered sole, and sharp objects! Made some pickles! Thanks my dear for reminding me that we must “feel” our feelings not run away from them or try to end them!!!!

Your such a beautiful soul inside and out 🙂 I’ve been wanting to randomly re-read the sisterhood of the traveling pants books. A nice light read in between my new mama duties. Did you read those? I just loved them!

YAY to hiking. I have to go soon!

I live in the city but I think I’m a nature person at heart 🙂

Always a nature gal!!!! I like going to a city occasionally, but I usually want to leave and go home after a few hours. 😀 And isn’t granola just the best crunchy delicious snack? 🙂 My Favorite Indulgence is yummy.

I love hiking and I am definitely more of a nature person than a city person – but I like to be close enough to the city that I can have both 😛

I would like to re-establish a good relationship with hiking. It’s hard for me because my anxiety brain won’t let me relax when I hike…instead it just monkey brains around. 🙁 But I’d like to find ways to change that. So glad you got to enjoy such a beautiful hike!

Omg hiking Mt. Washington?! That sounds amazing. Good job girl! I love to hike but don’t have many trails near where I live… definitely need to make a trip to the NE! I love both, but I prefer nature over the city! Right now I’m reading a book called You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero… I really like it!! Hope you’re having a great week. 😀

Ahh the hike looks absolutely lovely. I’ll always love the outdoors, but I wish I would spend more time soaking it all up. I don’t appreciate it enough. Also, crow pose is no joke, so major kudos for practicing it so gracefully and holding it long enough for a pic.

I so feel at peace in nature. I love hiking. By myself or with others. I’m sad I havn’t been getting as much of it this summer as I would have liked. As much as I’ve loved living in a big city for the past number of years, I can feel my calling back to a small town/country vibe getting stronger each day. Le sigh.

You saw Nahko!! Agh that would have been dreamy. Your energy radiating out of this, and your recent posts, is beautiful and healing Lyss. Inspiration for all of us.

nature= medicine. I will always stand behind that statement. Thank you for your kind words too. Also- wish you were there with me at Nahko!! he is my favorite.

I wish I hiked more often, but I guess I get my fill in races. Maybe if I hiked more I wouldn’t fall so much hahaha
The books I’m obsessed with now are in a series called Outlander. Historical fiction is my favorite genre and this series has it all! I cannot recommend it highly enough. I am very impressed with your yoga posing. My favorite pose is still the last one where you lie on the floor with your eyes closed 😉
