So excited for this post today because it’s a video-weeeeeee. I feel like I haven’t done one of these in 10 years (even though it was just last month lol) but I’m so happy I had the chance to sit down and film a video for all of ya!

I got asked this question over the summer and to do a video on it, so I finally sat down and shared my thoughts with ya.

We’re talking about IIFYM- (If It Fits Your Macros) today, and I’m sharing my opinions and thoughts on this with you all.

**DISCLAIMER:I am not shaming anyone who follows IIFYM. If this style of eating works for you then I am so glad it does. I am just sharing my opinions on this topic and some thoughts I have!

Thank you for watching guys. And happy almost Friday to you!!

Now tell me:

What are your opinions on IIFYM? Leave them below or any thoughts you have on this. 🙂 And if you have any topics you would like me to vlog about, let me know!!

Have a fantastic day friends!! Sending lots and lots of loveeee.

Xoxo

LOVE the videos always babe!! You’re beautiful! 🙂 I’m with ya on IIFYM. I think it’s just another form of restriction that could end up being worse than calorie counting. I didn’t realize how crazy people go with tracking their macros! From my experience, all the fat free food wreaks havoc on your digestive system too. NO THANKS. I hear so many guys talking about this stuff too, and it makes me so angry and upset. Can’t we just eat and be happy?! AMEN to all of this!! Love you so much babe! <3

I hear so many guys talking about IIFYM as well and it is soooo annoying. We just gotta eat and stop stressing so much about it!! LOVE YOU!

There are pluses and minuses to all diets, but at the end of the day, they are diets and restrictions! Totally with you.

Diets are diets and diets include restrictions! Amen to that!

Personally, I’m torn about this. It’s like any diet: can be freeing and help overcome obsession with rules or just strengthen a different set of them. Just like veganism/paleo/you name it. There are definitely people who take it too strictly – goodness, some more carbs aren’t going to do any damage – or those who eat all kinds of crap. If somebody can find a middle ground and be happy with it: good for them. I like to just eat.

There are the people who take it way too far, and there are the people who have the ability to not let any sort of restriction on eating take over their lives. Very good point girl!

I feel like, if it works for you all well and good but IIFYM seems too obsessive to me! Surely even if you’re not counting calories, to find out the macros you’ve got to know the calories? Or at least look at the nutrition labels? I don’t know.. it all seems way too time consuming and restricting!

It does seem way too time consuming- another reason why I could never follow this lifestyle!

I just don’t like IIFYM because I do not have the time or energy to count my calories or macros. I refuse to add things up and enter in that data. I really just think it would be a headache!
